Welcome!

I am Lucas R. Trambaiolli, Ph.D., a neuroscientist and neuroengineer focused on advancing our understanding of brain circuits involved in psychiatric disorders. My research integrates neuroanatomy, neuroimaging, brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), and computational modeling to translate insights from basic neuroscience into practical tools for diagnosis and therapeutic interventions.

I currently serve as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences – UTHealth Houston, where I lead investigations into limbic and attention circuits in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). Through my K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award, I am working to develop neuroanatomically informed biomarkers and neurofeedback interventions to target dysfunctional circuits in psychiatric populations.
